AutoCad Architecture 2017 64 Bit Version

AutoCAD Architecture is industry-leading software for architects issued by Autodesk as an initiative to provide engineers with a streamlined package of tools that encourage daring designs and maximize productivity throughout large projects.

Put your architecture designs in play

It was born out of Autodesk’s endeavor to divide the power of AutoCAD amongst various industries. Just like AutoCAD Electrical targets electrical engineering and AutoCAD Mechanical is oriented toward machinery design, the Architecture version is aimed at architectural work.

AutoCAD Architecture sports the same graphical approach as any other AutoCAD product, boasting a professional and organized appearance that allows you to experience with its features at your own pace. The menus embedded inside its interface are extremely rich and will take a while to explore, although we trust that professional architects have developed a sense for this type of software approach.

Create, design and export CAD drawings

You will be able to create, edit and observe your designs, as well as to annotate, export and print them easily. You can populate your projects with a wide array of objects, including walls, doors, windows and other such elements that mimic real-world behavior.

Sections and elevations can be directly generated from your floor plan, with dimensioning standards that can be personalized. The integrated rendering engine facilitates the creation of 3D models, while the renovation feature speeds up the evolution of an architectural renovation. The designs are being managed dynamically, with the construction elements and calculations being adjusted every time a parameter changes and in real time, too.

Complex architectural designer for professionals

On an ending note, AutoCAD Architecture comes across as an architectural solution that produces incredibly accurate designs, as well as the documentation that comes with a building project. It turns ideas into reality by assisting you in complex tasks that are otherwise impossible to achieve on paper.

AutoCAD Architecture 2018 — Free 30-day Trial version

Start working in AutoCAD Architecture and experience productivity gains right away, while learning new features at your own pace. Create architectural drawings, documentation, and schedules more quickly and easily. Built with architects in mind, AutoCAD Architecture has new features that help to automate tedious drafting tasks, reduce errors, and increase efficiency.

About the AutoCAD Architecture and MEP Status Bar

The status bar displays the cursor location, drawing tools, and tools that affect your drawing environment.

The status bar gives quick access to some of the most commonly used drawing tools. Some settings, such as options for different elevations, only display if you are working within a project. In AutoCAD Architecture and MEP it also allows you to change the current display configuration of the active viewport and set the global cut plane height.

Click the icon to activate or deactivate any of the commands in this group. Blue indicates an active control; gray indicates an inactive control.

You can toggle settings such as snap, grip, polar tracking, object snap, and orthogonal mode or access additional settings from the shortcut menu. The coordinates shown in the left-hand side indicate the current location of the cursor.

You can preview and switch between open drawings and layouts. Additional tools can be used for scaling annotations.

You can change the annotation scale for the current viewport, and select a new one from the list.

With the Workspace button, you can customize workspaces and display the name of the current workspace.

You can define the elevation of the construct relative to the level you have selected. This button opens the Elevation Offset worksheet where you enter or pick the elevation offset.

Right-click on the Graphics Performance icon to access the display performance options. To expand the drawing display area, click the Clean Screen button.

Display Configuration shows the current display configuration of the active viewport and provides a drop-down list from which you can select another configuration.

Use Cut Plane to identify the global cut plane height for the active display configuration. Click on it to access the dialog box that allows you to adjust the setting.

Searches and imports object styles to the current drawing.

Searches object styles, imports them into the current drawing, and starts the relevant command to start drawing with the selected object.

The following options are displayed.

Object Type

The drop-down lists all objects for which you can choose styles.

Drawing Source

Select the drawing source from the drop-down. You can import styles from a current open drawing, a Project Standards drawing or a Content Library drawing.

Drawing File

Select a drawing file from which to import styles. The drop-down lists all the drawing files available in the selected drawing source for the object type selected.

Click the Manage Content Library to display the Content Drawings Library dialog box. You can add content drawings or a folder of content drawings using this dialog box.

Note: If an object type is unchecked from the Configure Standards dialog box, it will not show up in the list.

Search Style

Search for object styles from the results displaying using the style name. The results are based on the options selected above.

Insert Options

Import the style into the drawing, start the add object command with the selected style, or apply a style to the selected object.

Gallery Options

Select the preview size and view direction for the object style and the background color of the preview swatch.

Displays all available object styles based on the selections. System definitions do not have a preview, hence they display only the system definition name.

To Override the Visibility and Order Setting of the Property Set Definition

View all properties in the Extended Data tab of the Properties palette.

The Extended Data tab of the Properties palette displays the properties of a selected object. You can choose what properties to display and the order in which they display from Style Manager  Documentation Objects  Property Set Definitions  Select a property  Visibility and Order columns.

To temporarily view all properties in the Properties palette, complete the following procedure.

Note: Property Override applies to all drawings in the current session.
  1. Click Options.
  2. Select the AEC Object Settings tab.

  1. Under AEC Property Set Definitions  Property Override, select from the following options.
    • None: No override. Lists the properties in the Extended Data tab of the Properties palette as defined in the Visible and Order columns in the Definition tab of Property Set Definition in the Style Manager.
    • Visibility: Overrides the Visible column in the Definition tab of the Style Manager. Lists all properties in the Extended Data tab of the Properties palette. However, it follows the order as set in the Order column.
    • Visibility and Order: Overrides the Visible and Order columns in Definition tab of Property Set Definition in the Style Manager. Lists all properties in an alphabetical order in the Extended Data tab of the Properties palette.
  2. Click Apply and OK.

FAQ: Why can’t I see newly added objects in the section result?

f you are using a legacy drawing, which has not been last (or most recently) saved in AutoCAD Architecture 2016, all new objects are automatically excluded from the section result.

To view the new objects in your section result, do one of the following:

  • Refresh the section result before adding any new objects
  • Open the drawing in AutoCAD Architecture 2016 and save it before adding new objects

If you are still unable to see the objects in the section result, enter 2DSECTIONRESULTUPDATE at the command prompt, and in the Generate Section dialog box, ensure that the newly added objects are included for display in the section result.

About Style Manager

The Style Manager is an AutoCAD Architecture utility that provides a central location where you can view and work with the styles that determine the appearance and function of objects in drawings.

You can also manage layer key styles, schedule data formats, and definitions for cleanup groups, mask blocks, multi-view blocks, profiles, and property sets.

The Style Manager allows you to readily create or customize styles and share them with other users. In the Style Manager, you can perform the following tasks:

  • Access styles from open drawings and intranet sites
  • Drag styles onto a palette to create tools
  • Set up new drawings and templates by copying styles from other drawings or templates
  • Sort and view the styles in your drawings and templates by drawing or by style type
  • Preview an object with a selected style
  • Create and edit styles
  • Delete unused styles from drawings and templates
  • Send styles to other AutoCAD Architecture users by email

Opening the Style Manager

To open the Style Manager, click Manage tabStyle & Display panelStyle Manager Find
